Celebrate St Patrick's and St Joseph's Days with Premium Cigars

Today may be the Ides of March, but this week marks holidays associated with two different Patron Saints. Tuesday the 17th is St Patrick's Day. St Patrick is the Patron Saint of Ireland. Thursday the 19th is St Joseph's Day. St Joseph is the Patron Saint of Italy.
While St Patrick's Day is celebrated with raucous parties and green beer, St Joseph's Day is usually celebrated with a St Joseph Altar surrounded by Italan treats. There isn't a St Pattrick's Day parade in Acadiana, and the presence of St Joseph Altars is inconsistent. However, you can always celebrate either day with a premium cigar! Here are our suggestions.
St Patrick's Day calls for a green premium cigar. That means Candela! Arturo Fuente's Flor Fina 8-5-8 Claro features a Candela wrapper. This mild-medium bodied premium cigar is part of Fuente's flagship line - the Arturo Fuente Gran Reserva. The Oscar 2012 Barber Pole balances Candela and San Andres wrappers! This premium cigar has a Nicaraguan Binder, with Nicaraguan and Honduran Fillers. We also have Alec Bradley's special release for this time of year. The Filthy Hooligan is a barber-pole of Honduran candela and Nicaraguan oscuro, with an Ecuador Sumatra binder and a combination of Honduran and Panamanian fillers. Supply is limited!
St Joseph's Day seems to call for a premium cigar with a Colorado wrapper. We featured a few in last month's Newsletter, but here are some others. The La Flor Dominicana Capitulo II has a Nicaraguan Colorado Wrapper surrounding Dominican ligero tobacco for a premium cigar featuring power and flavor. We've also added the Casa Magna Colorado, a Nicaraguan puro that is a collaboration between Manuel Quesada and Nestor Plasencia. CAO makes two cigars perfect for your St Joseph's Day smoke - the Italia and the Consigliere. The Italia includes some Habano filler from the Benevento region of Italy (along with Nicaraguan and Peruvian fillers). It is a medium-full bodied premium cigar with a Honduran Wrapper and Binder.
