It is baseball season once again! Time for the Bailey's Crew to visit Fabacher Field and watch our Acadiana Cane Cutters! If you haven't joined us before, here is some background.
The Acadiana Cane Cutters belong to the Texas Collegiate League. The Texas Collegiate League is a collegiate summer baseball league made up of teams from Texas and Louisiana. All players must be currently enrolled at a college or university, and playing for their school’s intercollegiate baseball team. Also each player must have remaining college eligibility. All games are played using wooden bats!
This season there are eight teams in the TCL, three from Louisiana and five from Texas. They are the Abilene Flying Bisons, Acadiana Cane Cutters, Baton Rouge Rougarou, Brazos Valley Bombers, Lake Charles Gumbeaux Gators, San Antonio River Monsters, Sherman Shadowcats, and Victoria Generals. There are a few new ticket options this season! In addition to the Party Deck (where we'll be), there is also a Birthday Package, and a Family Five Pack. Nightly Promotions include Hump Day Hot Dogs, Thirsty Thursday, Slippery Saturday, and Sunday Funday. Can't make it to Fabacher Field or travel to an away game, catch them on TCL TV.
The Cane Cutters started this season away, but will have plenty of home games! Those games are played at Fabacher Field in Youngsville and begin at 7PM. There are plenty of great seats, but we take over the Right Field Party Deck! In addition to tables, there are folding chairs and fans on the Right Field Deck - and plenty of chances to harrass the visiting team's right fielder. Why not join us?
Join us on Thursday June 18th when the Gumbeaux Gators visit. Gary's birthday is the 17th - come help him celebrate before he starts to forget who he is! You can get tickets at Bailey's. They are $40 and include entry to the game and deck, hamburger or hot dog, chips, water, soda, beer, raffle ticket (new), and your first cigar! This may be the best entertainment deal in the area!
We hope to also catch a game in July, depending on interest. Check the Newsletter for dates. Don't get Bailey's Newsletter? Click here to subscribe. Make sure to scroll to the bottom of the page then enter your email.
