Many of you have been taking advantage of our in house sampler packs! We’re glad you like them but want to make sure any purchase that has to wait to be opened stays fresh. All of our variety packs are humidified but what if you put your own sampler together?
We always recommend using Boveda packs. We sell the sizes you’ll need to season a new humidor, or to keep cigars fresh in a humidor or travel case. We even sell the Humi-Care wipes for freshening, or re-seasoning, a humidor.
We recently had to replace part of the humidification system in our main humidor. We set our main humidor's relative humidity at 69%, and keep the internal temperature arouund 70 degrees. 70/70 is the recommended setting for premium cigars. Many of you smoke pipe tobacco and Tobacconist University has an informative but brief article about the differences in storing premium cigars and pipe tobacco.
You might also be interested in learning a bit more about why maintaining proper relative humidity (RH) is important. Check out this article from Boveda. It explains how moisture directly affects cigar flavor, burn rate and more.
