Indulging in Premium Cigars at Mardi Gras: A Celebration of Flavor and Luxury

Tuesday is Mardi Gras, but you've probably already been to a parade or two. We're curious to know what you've been smoking on the parade route or trail ride. Meanwhile, here are our thoughts on Mardi Gras premium cigars.

No matter your premium tobacco preference, Mardi Gras demands you look cool while enjoying yourself. This isn't a bad time to break out your favorite pipe. A Meerschaum or Churchwarden will really garner some attention. We'd suggest a bowl or two of Buttered Rum, Farmer's Reserve, or Cajun Comfort. Bring extra matches in case it is windy!

A barber pole or Churchill is another way to look cool on Mardi Gras day! Our Tri-Wrap is medium bodied and inexpensive. Great choice for sharing with those buddies who never bring their own premium cigars! Oscar's 2012 Barber Pole is a nice box-pressed version. It features San Andres and Candela wrappers. They balance each other nicely. We even still have a few of Arturo Fuente's Between the Lines!

If your Mardi Gras attitude is "go big or go home" - you've got options! Try a 7x60 from Perdomo (Sun Grown) or Alec Bradley (Maduro). Maybe the LFD Digger is more your style. Eight and a half by 60 double Ligero with a Sumatran wrapper. If those aren't big enough, try the Artista Exactus Super Colosso. 11x90 with either a Connecticut or Maduro wrapper. A good 3 hour smoke!
